IMPACT E³ – Impact-oriented entrepreneurship qualification

IMPACT E³ – Impact-oriented entrepreneurship qualification

Impact entrepreneurship is very complex: entrepreneurial activity that aims to bring about change towards greater sustainability in the economy, society and culture pursues several, often competing goals. In addition to their profitability, entrepreneurial projects are aligned and evaluated according to the extent to which they have a social impact and correspond to or even promote an ecologically sustainable transformation (triple bottom line). In addition to the plurality of goals, there is also a variety of possible fields of action, including the necessary competencies. The United Nations 2030 Agenda defines 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), all of which can be addressed through impact entrepreneurship. Consequently, the academic qualification for impact-oriented entrepreneurship must also take these different competencies, fields of action and spatial impact areas (urban / rural) into account. However, a university alone cannot fully cover this. For this reason, the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), the Ansbach University of Applied Sciences (HSA) and the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT) have joined forces to form a Central Franconian network.
